The chicken wire lips of the Mouth were covered in a layer of duct tape and the tongue was fitted with a plastic layer.

Gerard paper-maches a Mouth.
Shane paints the iris of the Eye. The Eye is a white glass bowl.
Shane places the mics in the Ear. These pick up the sound of the room and especially of people speaking into it in order for the system to sample it.
A Leap Motion controller and Arduino light circuit are placed in the Eye for testing. The Leap Motion controller can "see" any hands in it's field of vision. We use this information to change the audio signal from the microphone. Also a second microphone is connected to the Arduino which lights up the Eye if someone speaks into the Ear.
